David G. Freedman represents employers in discrimination, wrongful discharge, unfair competition, and related employment matters in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. He also provides advice and counseling concerning employment agreements, employee discipline, internal investigations, employment policies and practices, and legal compliance.
An experienced trial attorney, he has handled more than forty jury trials and more than a hundred non-jury trials and arbitrations. His employment law trials have included cases alleging disability discrimination, race discrimination, sex and race harassment, whistleblower liability, and breach of contract. He has defended employers in the arbitration of discrimination, wrongful termination, retaliation, and union grievance claims.
Mr. Freedman also represents clients in business litigation matters, including disputes concerning commercial contracts, partnerships, unfair competition, and trade secrets.
Mr. Freedman received his law degree from Loyola Law School in 1978 and his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1974. From 1978 to 1986 he served as a deputy district attorney in the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and as an assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.
